Turkish Lira to reduce record
The Turkish Lira continued to decline on Thursday, bringing the decline from the beginning of the year to more than 50% when a meeting between Turkey and U.S. officials brought less results.
USD/TRY rate increased 2.5% to 5.4122 at 4:42 AM ET (0842GMT), just below the record high rate of 5.4486.
A delegation of Turkey came to Washington on Wednesday to find a way to solve the tension between the two countries. The President of the United States has criticized Turkey in the American missionary captivity, Andrew Brunson, in relation to terrorism.
The United States Department of Finance has applied sanctions to the Department of Justice and the inland of Turkey and the United States that this detention is "not fair and incorrect".
According to Reuters, a small transformation was achieved during the fourth day meeting.
Foreign ministry spokesman, Heather Nauert, said: "We will negotiate more with Turkish officials. The dialogue is being continued. "
